Here's a link to a study done for treatment of pain with CF.
There was also a program on National Geographic about Acupuncture and a person who had CF. He couldn't smell due to his sinuses being blocked for 20 years. He had a double lung transplant. After the first treatment he could smell better by 10%. Then on the second time he could smell nearly everything.
