That picture above is an eflow. It's about the size of the palm of the hand.
However, the size of the one I have is huge and about the size of a shoebox.
If anyone had the eflow, can you let me know does it function the same and does it have the same power. Is it quicker? Does it take every liquid medication like Saline and Ventolin. And did you get it from the hospital?
Leave a comment or email me. Thanks.
Hiya
ReplyDeleteI bought my e-flow from pari as my team don't give them out. They are rather expensive to buy and upkeep but in my opinion, worth every penny as my brick of a neb took 20 minutes to run each of my 3 medications.
I do hypertonic saline, ventolin and antibiotics through mine with no problems at all, put into the neb pot once I've swilled it out with water inbetween drugs. If you do DNase you have to use a whole separate neb pot as it breaks down the antibiotics apparently!
I clean it with boiling water and some fairy liquid then put in a baby bottle steam steriliser which I bought and was the recommendation from the pari people.
So yes, in all, I highly recommend an eflow. Your team will be able to give you guidance on how to use it/clean it etc. Some teams routinely give them out and replace parts and keep the upkeep going so it's worth asking if they do this because it will save you a lot of money.
Any other questions, just ask :)

I don't have a team?? Haha.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't they give you the eflow for free if you get the other nebs for free?
Il find an email from the website and see what they say. I don't want to buy one.
